Closing Sales

There are many good books on sales training, focusing on specific aspects of being a good seller and knowing how to get the best deal from customers, however at the end of the day it all comes down to the right product and right preparation, if you get these right your 90% there.

A good salesperson starts with a great product, for the better the product is, the less work that will be needed to sell it, and the perfect product sells itself!

This is why 50% of sales work is done in the preparation stages, that of product sourcing, development, designing etc.

Another 40% of the sale is done in the customer selection process, for a good database of potential clients is vital. It all comes down to the quality of the leads, if they are bad you are wasting your time (98 % failure rate) and if they are good you can expect that up to 50% will convert.

However, even with the best product in the world you still need to tell people about it and this is where good sales training and advice comes in. A good sales person has the right products, the right leads and most importantly the right timing.

Putting all these elements together and then focusing your customers mind on the specific product best suited to their needs (putting your best foot forward), will result in the smoothest transaction possible. *

Find out what your customer want's, then make them the best deal possible and you are sure to have a sale...
